About 17 minutes into the tour, a thunderstorm hit Lake Michigan. It was on the edge of terrifying…mostly because three helpless girls stranded on a jet ski were drifting closer and closer to the rocks.
Apparently, commercial boats can’t save people…only the Coast Guard can do that.
Next to me, a random baby SCREAMED in her mother’s arms. Then she looked at me. … like in Titanic when the maid made eye contact with Rose before plummeting to her death.
ME: Yeah, I want to cry too.
BABY (Telepathically, of course): This is some bul#$%@& … WAIT…those beads on your arm are giving me life. I’m ‘gonna have to touch those.
Random Baby was cute but I wasn’t trying to get shipwrecked AND break my bracelets. They were a gift from a friend.
A jet skiers stood up, contemplating jumping onto the rocks.
BOAT CAPTAIN: Sit down. If one goes in, you all go in and hang onto each other. Don’t let go.
ME: Do I really have to watch these girls drown with nobody trying to save them?
BABY: I’m over it…now set-out those bracelets.
I held out my arm…Random Baby fingered the beads and patted my arm.
BABY: Ahhh! Thanks, I needed that.
Like she was taking a drag from a cigarette! Then RB sat back and smiled until the storm passed. Now that’s what a fashion fix can do!!! I bet RB will grow up to be a fashionista.
Oh year, the Coast Guard rescued the jet skiers after the storm ended.
Verrrry Cute!!!!!! I was on that boat the day the storm raged!! Quite an experience! Between a fifteen year old screaming and panicking, and a nineteen old laughing at her, it was actually fun!
